Hello phantinho - Welcome to Ubuntu Discourse
Let’s try and isolate the issue - perhaps rule out a firmware or hardware issue.

What results when you boot the installer (that you used to install Lubuntu) to “try Ubuntu” ?

-see where we go from here-

Those are three things that don’t sound at all like something that came from a Lubuntu system, especially the beep. Could you maybe provide photos? If you try to boot the live installation media, do you have the same problems?

Welcome to Ubuntu Discourse

In addition to the information requested, let’s have some more clarity:

Did you install Lubuntu in place of Windows or alongside as a dual-boot?

If you can access BIOS, check if the keyboard and storage device are recognized.

Assuming that you have installed Lubuntu 24.04 in UEFI mode with GPT:-

Access UEFI settings (Power on and immediately tap F2)
Security > Disable Intel Platform Trust Technology
Security > Disable Intel SGX
Security > Disable Secure Boot
Boot > Boot Mode = UEFI
Exit > Enable OS Optimized Defaults
Exit > Exit Saving Changes

i cant boot from the installation media either, it still just gives me a blank screen and restarts, i know the usb works because i can boot from it using a different computer

Sorry for the blurry image, it only shows up for a few seconds so i had to screenshot it from a video

Here it says “0101003: Keyboard not detected”

plugging in the usb with the installer doesnt do anything, i get the same result so i cant boot from it

I installed lubuntu in place of windows, no dual boot

I cannot enter bios settings either, ive tried all the keys, the laptop just resets again

I should also say that one day the computer randomly managed to boot into lubuntu once, but after i turned it off again the problem came back

I’m sorry to say this sounds a lot like a hardware issue. I would assume the issue lies in the keyboard but that could be a red herring. I would personally open up the machine and disconnect in internal keyboard physically and then use an external keyboard.

Alternatively, press power and Fn key simultaneously for 7/8 seconds then release power button

just tried this, i can enter the novo menu, but after choosing any of the four options the same problem continues to happen

Did you choose BIOS Setup?

Yes, nothing happened so i tried with the other three, which also didnt do anything

Silly question, you did press Enter after the selection?

If your UEFI settings (BIOS Setup) do not allow you access, then you will have to seek support from Lenovo or, possibly, a Lenovo user forum.

I have an 11.6" Lenovo Ideapad and it is always very easy to reach UEFI settings.

Yep

I guess i will look into that next

thanks for the help

A hardware issue might make this problem as others said but I think your problem could be related to updating process. Maybe some packages including the driver, had a problem during the update as you said your system booted successfully before you updated it, right?

Also I have a question, when does your system stop during booting process? Does the bootloader load successfully? if yes, try choosing another version of kernel and initramfs if available.
