Hello all, I have been running Kubuntu 22.04 on an MSI Stealth GS66 laptop for over a year now. According to “nvidia-smi”, I am using driver 535.183.01. Over the past couple of weeks, I have had several instances of the laptop not recovering from suspend mode. Specifically, when I open the laptop, it remains in the text console mode with the following messages:
nvidia-modeset: ERROR: GPU:0: Failed to bind display engine notify context DMA: 0x1a (Ran out of a critical resource, other than memory [NV_ERR_INSUFFICIENT_RESOURCES]
nvidia-modeset: ERROR: GPU:0: Failed to allocate display engine core DMA pushbuffer
The only way to recover from this is to power down the laptop and restart. Anyone know what is happening? Has an update to the NVIDA driver caused this sudden behavior?
Thanks in advance for any help!
