Lack of docs page translation (and language setting) brings problem installing SNAPD

Just wanted to bring this up. A new user wanted snaps on her Linux Mint https://snapcraft.io/docs/installing-snap-on-linux-mint

As the language and setting for directory structure on her machine is NOT ENGLISH; that pages tutorial stalls already at start “cannot move : directory does not exist” and specifically in Finnish in this case “ei voi siirtää kohteeseen : tiedostoa tai hakemistoa ei ole”

This is because sudo mv /etc/apt/preferences.d/nosnap.pref ~/Documents/nosnap.backup
should be sudo mv /etc/apt/preferences.d/nosnap.pref ~/Asiakirjat/nosnap.backup

Many do not realize to change the Documents part according to ones language and installing of snap support for a leaves at that. Could there be a way to translate that docs page? And after that; a simple button to change the language. Seems quite crucial.

Or am i missing something on the page related to this dilemma? Thanks.

Scroll to the very bottom of the page, there is a link that lets you report issues with the page (like on every Ubuntu page), you should use this to report the issue to the web team…

Thanks, will do :+1:

Here’s the summary how it ends up currently for more clarification.

A quick content change that would help might also be to simply back up the config file to ~/ which is not translated at all and will not expose such problems, perhaps you can suggest that in your report …

Is this the right place? Installing snap on Linux Mint - #12 by degville - doc - snapcraft.io

Looks like it requires a separate account to be created apart from this. At least cannot login with Ubuntu One credentials.

No, the this site link at the bottom of the page you linked in your OP should get you to github where the web team maintains the site …

Hopefully this would suffice.
