Kubuntu 25.10 mouse cursor unchanged at window borders under Wayland (and vbox)

I’m trying out Kubuntu 25.10 under VirtualBox and seeing a weird symptom: resizing windows has become difficult because the mouse cursor remains unchanged when located at a “handle” (window edge or corner). I installed X11 (plasma-session-X11). Correct cursor behavior is restored in an X session, but the problem persists when running Wayland. I haven’t been able to find a related bug listing anywhere – maybe this only happens in VirtualBox installations?

Yes. I can confirm that this problem occurs in Ubuntu 25.10 guest running under Virtual Box Ubuntu 25.04 host.
