Same problem with KMahjongg after update on Ubuntu Studio 24.10 running KDE Plasma
I have moved this separate issue to a new topic. In the future, please do not post an unrelated application, even if it’s behaving the same. That’s called “topic hijacking” and not allowed.

Is this the snap or deb version?
The snap version has the problem. The deb version works fine, and starts much quicker.
Then please report the bug. Complaining here does nothing, reporting a bug does. Ubuntu doesn’t maintain these snaps, they come from KDE themselves. Per Install kmahjongg on Linux | Snap Store :
