Due to most of Canonical teams being unavailable during the end of year/holiday season [1] and the current 2024.10.28 SRU cycle being scheduled to be released on the week of Dec-02, no new regular Kernel SRU cycle will be run in December 2024.
To deliver fixes for outstanding critical security issues and bugs, the Kernel Team will however start a security cycle on 02-Dec (s2024.10.28), with planned release on the week of 16-Dec.
The regular SRU cycle schedule will resume in January 2025 with the following planned schedule:
cycle: Jan-13 through 10-Feb (4 weeks)

13-Jan - 17-Jan Kernel prep week.
20-Jan - 07-Feb Bug verification & Regression testing.
Week of 10-Feb Release to -updates.
Any requests for critical or urgent fixes need to be communicated immediately to the Kernel Team.
