Jabra 410 disc audio not functioning - possible Ubuntu version and support problem?

  • What goal are you trying to achieve?

Make my Jabra disc (Jabra 7410-209 Model Speak 410 ) to work under Ubuntu/Linux.

Ubuntu Version: 24.04.2 LTS
** Windowing System: Wayland
** Laptop: HP Elitebook

Problem Description:
When I attach my Jabra Disc to my laptop, it does not work as a speaker properly. Sound starts “jamming” and “clipping” and making my videos / audio slow. Additionally, this should be a great conference system and currently it is not functional .

Relevant System Information:
Jabra 7410-209 Model Speak 410 with USB-kabel

What I’ve Tried:
I have tried to find/get functional audio drivers. I checked other Ubuntu forums and there are users complaining about the same thing, several Jabra models stopped working after a specific Ubuntu update ( at the start of 2025). I have several Jabras, so this is not a defective device -problem, more like Ubuntu-related. Under Windows (;.((( these Jabras work ok.

All help welcome. Thanks in advance.

Did this device work correctly for you in a previous Ubuntu version?
What kernel version are you using (you can find out by running uname -r in Terminal)?
Are you able to test your device in a live USB environment of Ubuntu 25.04 (“Try Ubuntu”), which has newer versions of Pipewire and Wireplumber?
