Installing Gnome Software installs snap support even tho it wasn't checked?

I’ve just installed GNOME Software using the Ubuntu Software/Snap Store with Flatpak Support Add-on checked.

I haven’t checked the Snap Support Add-on but it was still installed.

After the restart I’ve checked the Snap store and the installed Gnome Software was nowhere to be found, instead it was named just Software (and I’m sure the name label said GNOME Software before installation).

Is this auto snap support installation intentional or is this a bug?

The gnome-software package in ubuntu has a recommends on gnome-software-plugin-snap, so that gets brought in automatically when you install gnome-software-plugins-snap
