I want to propose a certain software for the desktop-version for the raspberry Pi, but I don’t know, where to wish for …

Here is good. Let us know what software you would like to see available and we can discuss it.

Here is the story:
I had to install an OS for my Asus eee 901, which is quite lame. I chose Mint with XFCE and when I installed the software to use, I came to an app named “Pix”, a photomanager and -editor. That was new for me, I tested it and was very surprised at how easy it was to use and how fast it ran on the slow computer. Normally I work with Digikam and I am spoiled, but “Pix” offers exactly the tools that are normally most needed. I’ve also tested Phototonic, Shotwell, and Gphoto, but Pix makes those programs look old, especially when the computers are not that fast.

“Pix” is open source and can be found here https://github.com/linuxmint/pix
