HP Printer Used To Work; Fails With Xubuntu Updates

Ubuntu Version:
Xubuntu 24.04.1 LTS “noble”

Desktop Environment (if applicable):

XFCE

Problem Description:

When I try to print a file, I'm told that a plugin is needed and that with my permission, it will be automatically downloaded. When I consent to that, it says it can't find my Internet connection, which in fact is working fine.

Relevant System Information:

The computer is a Dell Inspiron 15. The printer is an HP LaserJet M1212nf MFP (multifunction printer).

Screenshots or Error Messages:

none

What I’ve Tried:

Installing all HPLIP-related packages, except a development one, via Synaptic, and restarting the system. Prior, I had some version directly installed as described on the HP developers' site.

@3ky04fm02
I don’t know if I can help you or not since I do not have an HP printer, or one that uses driverless printing.
How is your Dell Inspiron 15 connected to HP LaserJet M1212nf MFP?
It seems like your HP MFP has lost its connection with your Dell.
Does the ‘some prior version’ still exist on your system, or did you remove it?

Can I to try download manually via https://developers.hp.com/hp-linux-imaging-and-printing/plugins, case not working inform please what the plugin that you’re download.
thanks!

Is it all apps or is it, for example, in applications installed using snaps?
