How to move the taskbar and start button from Top of screen to bottom in Ubuntu Studio.
I have just got done installing the latest version of Ubuntu Studio and done all updates. I want all the items, Taskbar, menus, clock, network, etc… at the bottom of the screen instead of the top.
I have been through all the settings, and see no way to do this. Anyone have any ideas?
Note: moved your question to the “Support & Help” category since you’re asking for help with something. The Ubuntu Studio category is for general discussion and what-not.
It’s actually quite easy, and there’s two ways to do it.
First Method:
In Settings, go to Global Theme:
Select the Breeze Dark theme:
When the dialog box pops-up, select “Desktop and window layout” and click Apply.
Next, select “Ubuntu Studio Dark” but do not select “Desktop and window layout” and click Apply.
As this will change the desktop wallpaper, right-click on the Desktop and select “Desktop and Wallpaper”. Ctrl-Shift-D will also accomplish this.
Feel free to select your desired wallpaper, or change it back to the default:
If you did those things, you should find your desktop looking similar to mine:
This is exactly What I needed. Thanks so much. This is amazing. I would use gnome, but I do not like the sidebar. I spent hours looking on the internet.
