How to check progress on 25.10 "Snapshots"

Ubuntu Version:

Desktop Environment (if applicable):

Multiple?

Problem Description:

Not a problem at this point. Trying to avoid that. Problem is finding what bugs are open against the “Snapshot 4” since it came out, and how things are going in general with that.

What I’ve Tried:

Looked around the “Ubuntu Discourse” forum/chat rooms. Did not find much.

Did not see much if anything, maybe some affiliated info on parts of the new software, not even sure.

Thank you.

You can visit bugs.launchpad.net and look at the Ubuntu project. Under advanced search you can choose 25.10, 25.10-beta, or 25.10-feature-freeze. You can add age to the visible information using the settings icon and that will help give you an idea as to if it is related to snapshot 4.

Great information. Thank you so much. I will check it out. I was looking in there once, but was looking for “date”, and maybe totally missed “age”. Will see what I can find. Appreciate it.

When you record your QA test report on the ISO QA tracker, you’ll see a list of reported bugs you can check for, and could thus expect.

ie. selecting snapshot 4 (Questing Snapshot 4 | Ubuntu QA) you pick the product (eg. Ubuntu Desktop), testcase and will end up with possible/expected/tracked issues reported on that ISO/snapshot, for full disk install for example (Questing Snapshot 4 | Ubuntu QA) there is a bug reported to look for that is reported as “Fix Released”… but if you’re doing different testcase testing you may see other bugs/reports.

This won’t show a complete list; but it’s a good start, and easy given that’s where we report our testing & results anyway.

Questions or discussions about development releases should be posted in the appropriate category.

Thank you for your response.

You can also go the Testing tracker Testing tracker | Ubuntu QA and select “reports” and then “defects summary” as here in this link Defects Summary | Ubuntu QA. And what is nice is you can then see “Open and Closed defects” .

I saw that. There are only 3 “defects” in the “Snapshot 4” download right now? I was expecting closer to 50. That is not bad at all. Is anybody on here reading this using it?

I should have been more specfic … the Testing tracker reports only list those bugs that were reported on the tests performed and recorded there.
Again using https://bugs.launchpad.net/ you can find all the bugs.
