Today one student sent me some HEIC images. So I discovered this format (is this based on wavelets?) but did not succeed to open these images.
Well, I found out that I had to install heif-gdk-pixbuf package to use EOG for that.
The already installed libheif1 is not enough.
Proposal for Jammy: install this heif-gdk-pixbuf package by default to enable this image format for EOG (at least).
