Could something like the Global Jams, to test Snaps and fix bugs, help the transition to snaps? Maybe make sessions for some specific snaps? Increase visibility of the sessions by posting here, on snapcraft forum or maybe ubuntu blog?

I love this idea. Would be good to time it where someone from the desktop team could be around (assuming it’s their snaps we’re testing) to make changes so we can iterate quickly if we find issues they can work on.
It would also be useful to have a set of test plans so we’re all testing the same way.
