Free space not showing in Ubuntu install menu-dual booting

Hello,

I am new to the world of Linux and started with Ubuntu. I tried to dual boot windows 7 and Ubuntu 16.04 in my HP Pavilion DV6 7011tx laptop. I gone through many videos on youtube where everyone said to create an unallocated space by shrinking the existing partition. Hence, I have created a 66GB unallocated space where the Linux has to be installed and also made the Ubuntu to boot from USB. When I try to install it and I am choosing something else rather than selecting “Install along the side of windows”, so that I can select the drive where the OS has to be installed, but I am seeing all the drives except this free space (66GB). I have gone through the internet and they are saying to make the unallocated space to logical rather than dynamic.

Please advise me on this and help me to install the Ubuntu linux on the allocated space.

I’ve moved this to the https://community.ubuntu.com/c/support-help-requests category because this site isn’t designed to take tech support questions. Sorry. I’d recommend using one of the official support channels listed on the https://community.ubuntu.com/t/finding-help/712 page.
