Hello, downloaded 25.04, put the iso on a new usb stick, tried to boot on another system, got an error code (I think it’s an error code ) but it did eventually load. Before I install, wanted to check with someone who actually knows if this thing bites.
The code I got is: 124.509768. thank You for reading!
Welcome to Ubuntu Discourse

Did you verify the integrity of the ISO image?
No I did not but I will now. TY!
Be sure to provide the full message detail; that looks like a timecode to me, ie. 124.509768 seconds into the boot process; where the actual message will follow that timestamp.
Some POSIX/Unix tools use a timestamp which is the number of seconds since machine boot started. A number of boot messages can appear; they’re informational more than error messages often.
You are correct, fortunately I have not been able to re-create any error. I did put the usb into another system to try, no problem, so I did install the new ubuntu, again, no problem. 1 down, 5 dells to go! As usual (been using ubuntu since 2006) it runs circles around that OTHER os. (and Bill, NEVER COMING BACK)
Must have forgot what SUPERB software Ubuntu is, my abundance of caution is prolly from the blue screen of death I used to get (long ago). Kudos to all Ubuntu coders, and long live Linus Torvalds…
