Firmware updater in 22.04

Is it safe or officially supported to use the new Firmware Updater app in Ubuntu 22.04. Since, it generally available as Snap package.

It should be okay to use the app. Bear in mind that the old ‘Ubuntu Software’ handles firmware updates already. But if you switch to the new ‘App Center’ then you will need to also install the firmware updater app to manage your firmware. This improves performance as previously Ubuntu Software would need to run permanently in the background to check for new firmware updates.
