Dear support,
I have been successfully testing the new interface in a self-hosted solution for quite some time now. During this time, a bug has not been fixed yet, which causes Debian 12 hosts to appear as Windows 12 hosts :-). This bug does not exist in the old interface, and that is good.
Very thanks for the support.
Will the new interface have a Monitoring tab? That’s the only feature I miss.
@spezialist1 Thank you for the feedback!
@cmmrandau Our plan at this time is that all features are being migrated to the new portal. So yes–monitoring should get added at some point (although it may be implemented differently in the new portal). Thank you for the feedback!
Thanks for updating the interface of Landscape. Some constructive feedback to improve it even more.
In the new interface of Landscape when someone has more than 20 scripts and moves to the next page they get a blank page with no data. Please see the screenshot. This makes it impossible to run scripts that are not on the first page. In addition the interface is missing a way to search for a script by name.
I do really appreciate the color linting in the scripts!
Thanks again for improving Landscape.
For the most part I like the new interface, but the biggest thing missing to me is the ability to do delayed bulk restarts.
In the old version, you could select multiple instances/devices and run a restart, and it had the option to delay to a specific time.
In the new version, I’ve only been able to find the delayed restart when doing a restart from within an individual instance.
I would be great to get updates of bug fixes or new features.
For some reason remote execution script is not working in the new portal. The activity remains as “Running” for hours, even as the root
.
Running the same script from the old portal works.
@epomattiio Thank you for all your feedback!! (keep it coming! )
Hey,
Where has the report section gone within the instances tab? can no longer see patching reports for all instances in the new web portal. This needs sorting. Reverted back to the old for now.
Thanks
When I try to run a script, the interface does not show the predefined “Run as user” assigned to the script.
The field is shown as empty.
Removing the registration key is not working using the new portal.
Online/offline status is not working as expected. It says Offline, but connectivity seems to functional.
When creating a new Profile Package in the current portal, it’s possible to create a new tag, but this is no longer possible in the new portal.
The selection of constraints in the new portal has very little UI space at the bottom of the right corner, perhaps a new tab would help with screen space. New constraints are added at the top of the list, which is a bit awkward. Constraint type could be “Depends on” as default, as it is in the current UI.
Seconding @epomattiio on scripts being stuck on In progress
for hours on end for simple scripts.
The delivery seems to be fast enough on the device, and the script does actually execute on the device, however the output is not reported back to Landscape.
This makes it tricky managing remote devices with such slow response times.
@zoranilievski as I wrote in this other answer, this is likely due to the initial sync behavior of packages between the client and the server.
Hello,
We are trying to deploy Landscape 24.10 using OIDC (keycloak) using a config that was working on Landscape 23.04.
When logging in after (or without) creating an invitation, the error “Not a member of account standalone” is displayed on /new_dashboard/handle-auth/oidc/
If we look into the api code, in auth_code.py _handle_authentication function, the invitation_id field is empty and when we define it with the secure_id of the invitation, it works
Sincerely
Packages shows loading spinner that takes a few minutes to go away, and then when it does shows “no installed packages found” . Now oddly on the old dashboard on the packages page when you go there it doesn’t actually list the packages by default and you need to do an empty search to see package details. This new one seems to not work at all, or do I need to wait for new package information to be received after accessing new interface? I would have thought it would reference existing data. But I guess also you don’t have the package summary page like the old interface.
