Fav but old tower not sending to monitor via SVGA, (digital input busy on other PC)

{System is; Asus Maximus Gene IV mobo with i7-2700k, 24 Gb RAM; GTX-560 outputs DVI, separate basic PCIe to have SVGA available. Three separate OS, 25.10, also 24.04, -two of three SSDs, (third SSD is my old Win 10), all installations done with only target drive connected, which I have always preferred. I use boot menu to select OS}

The 2nd extended monitor will display normally when PC is booted to Win 10 so their drivers are current.

The 2nd extended monitor will show the OS spash when loading either Ubuntu but then goes blank.

When looking at the display settings from the desktop of ether running Ubuntu, the 2nd monitor does not even show up as being present.

If that’s the full output, then your machine only finds one display adapter.

That old 560, when running both DVIs worked just fine with Ubuntu but a monitor died and the hopefully temporary replacement had only a SVGA to spare. What puzzles me is that the loading and closing splash images show up on that old connection separate PCIe card, then it blacks out. I thought it was a coding issue.

Anyway, I’ll have to get a new monitor with more connections because my Win 11 (customer problem solver), shares both monitors so I can keep Linux and Win both busy.
