EFI Stub: Warning: Failed to measure data for event 1: 0x00000000000b

Ubuntu Version:

24.04.LTS

Desktop Environment (if applicable):

GNOME 46
KERNAL inux 6.14.0-1007-oracle
Firmware v: 1805
Problem Description:

Please forgive me but I’m a beginner at Ubuntu so I’m hoping you can be patient and help me. I have dual boot with Windows 10. Yesterday I installed updates on Ubuntu and today when it boots in bios is says EFI Stub: Warning: Failed to measure data for event 1: 0x00000000000b. When it loads I notice there are no network adapters (Ethernet or wifi) any more and see some weird behaviour with mouse pointer

ghosting. I found some support posts online and it says turn off secure boot in bios.

I’ve since looked in bios and found the secure boot settings but I think it already off (as it uses Other not Windows) is according to this guide: https://www.asus.com/support/faq/1049829/(please see image).

Can anybody please help me to get this fixed.
Thank you so much!

Yesterday was 17 July 2025, did kernel 6.14.0-1007-oracle arrive?

When you power on the PC and grub appears, select:-
Advanced options for Ubuntu > Choose an earlier kernel (possibly 6.11.0-29)

Thanks for getting back to me. I’ll remember that and try it next time.
I wasn’t getting anywhere so I just reinstalled Ubuntu now. This issue was particularly tricky to resolve as I had no internet access.
