Can Duo Security 2F-Authentication be used for users logging into the Ubuntu Linux Desktop? If so can someone suggest a link to install the application?

I don’t know if Duo is FOSS, but that would be a cool idea (either that or some integration that connects to your mobile device via Bluetooth and displays alerts so you can hit the “accept” button on your DE).

It sounds like an interesting concept.
But, I need to make two points here:
- I do not know if this would be supported here since this is not in the official Ubuntu repositories. In other words, we will not be able to help if something goes wrong
- I definitely think you should test this either on a non-critical laptop or in a virtual machine before committing to your main system
