Housekeeping:
- Lots of bug triage once again. Bug traffic is almost returning back to normal.
- Prepared and tested a BlueZ 5.54 release for groovy
- Also fully synchronized bluez git with the current releases.
Gnome Shell and friends:
- Finally wrote an article about performance improvements in 20.04.
- Triaging interrelated display bugs, in three main lists (fractional scaling | nvidia | tearing)
- Release bug progress: gnome-shell crashed with SIGSEGV in dri_flush_front_buffer() from intel_flush_front() from intel_glFlush():
- Still can’t reproduce it
- Backported the upstream fix to mutter 3.28 and put it in a PPA for other people to test.
- Work in progress again: Fade the overview out/in over the background actor tree
- Back in contact with Nvidia about a bug that’s blocking mouse performance improvements.
- Landed a small mutter cleanup upstream.
- Random exciting news: High resolution touchpad scrolling in Chrome/Chromium is finally coming to Wayland sessions. Not sure which release that will be.
- Some numbers fell off a cliff in a good way. Thanks @marcustomlinson!
