- Lots of bug triage and user support in Launchpad and upstreams. A disproportionately high amount of traffic is about Nvidia bugs. But that’s probably just more to do with the fact we have fewer issues everywhere else these days. I don’t see many new problems.
- More progress on the X11 touchscreen bugs (LP#1904237, LP#2063005):
- Verified the proposed Oracular update.
- Pushed a Noble patch, but that’s still queued behind another pending update.
- Packaged Mutter 48.1 for Debian.
- Uploaded Mutter 48.1 for Ubuntu, which took longer than expected because a new test failure emerged from memory corruption in the X11 fractional scaling patch. And uploaded a second update to fix the animated cursors regression inherited from 48.1.
- Merged and uploaded an Ubuntu Dock fix for Noble from Alessandro.
- The fix for crashes in drmCopyVersion was sync’d from Debian into Plucky thanks to Timo.
- Raspberry Pi testing with Plucky and Oracular to confirm the status of webkit2gtk issues LP#2037015 and LP#2062146.
- Audited Mutter’s support for Nvidia suspend/resume and confirmed it’s not wired up for Wayland sessions, but also harder to implement than in Xorg sessions. Looks like Mutter Wayland sessions won’t support reliable suspend/resume on the Nvidia driver this cycle at least.
- Proposed a blanket fix to Mesa for the most common gnome-shell crash in 25.04. Seems that people just aren’t noticing it because it’s a Wayland login crash which immediately falls back to a Xorg login. It also doesn’t seem to affect the most common graphics drivers.
- Corporate training.
