  • Prepared GNOME 47.2 updates for Ubuntu 25.04 and Debian Unstable
  • Fixed the wxwidgets3.2 build on Ubuntu’s i386 which was blocking 30 packages or so from migrating.
  • Pushed our remaining package differences to Debian so that we can sync bluez. Also joined the Debian Salsa team so that we can push new bluez versions or fixes there faster.

  • Filed RC bugs for all packaged gimp plugins in preparation for uploading gimp 3 RC 1 to Debian Unstable and Ubuntu 25.04 “soon”
  • Lots of other packaging improvements for gimp
  • One remaining issue is that gimp’s build is hanging on s390x. We may remove gimp from s390x but that also takes some work to clear up

  • Removed Debian’s patch that restored “existing user” mode to gnome-initial-setup.
  • Switched Debian GNOME to use GNOME Tour by default instead of gnome-initial-setup
  • Helped review the Debian packaging for the Papers app for viewing PDFs. It’s awaiting review in Debian’s NEW queue

  • Did rebuilds for many Ubuntu transitions
  • Fixed a qt5-ukui-platformtheme packaging bug that was preventing new versions of glib from migrating (into Debian Testing or out of plucky-proposed)
  • Removed geary on armel/armhf since a dependency change broke its build tests
