  • Packaged gimp 3 RC 2 which is now available in Ubuntu 25.04 and Debian Testing
  • Packaged pango 1.56. Verifying that autopkgtests pass in Experimental before pushing to Unstable and Ubuntu.
  • Sponsored Alessandro’s gobject-introspection fix to improve how dh_girepository treats version numbers, allowing to drop our libgudev delta compared to Debian.
     
  • Ported the patches smcv collected for mozjs128 to mozjs115 to fix the failure to build with Python 3.13.
  • Cherry-picked a poppler security fix for Debian Unstable and Ubuntu 25.04
  • Cherry-picked a harfbuzz security fix for Debian Unstable and Ubuntu 25.04
  • Miscellaneous other packaging updates

Other news

:otter: The Decibels apps has been added by GNOME to GNOME Core for GNOME 48. Decibels is an audio player app. However, it is a TypeScript app and packaging its dependency chain will be a large project. Therefore, I wouldn’t expect to see a Debian/Ubuntu package for it soon.

:otter: The GNOME Photos app was reintroduced to Debian and Ubuntu after a test case that failed with newer versions of gegl was disabled.
