It would be great to be able to set a solid image to the desktop, not only pictures.
useful when using projectors (black screen) or just having a simple solid background.
PS: surprised about 20.04 its beautiful

You can set a solid colour but there’s no GUI for it. This seems to work:
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.background picture-uri ''
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.background primary-color '#ff0000'
where #ff0000 is bright red.
