Following the roll-back of Ubuntu Frame last week, we’re re-releasing a version with a workaround for the problem discovered in client snaps:
The following snap has been updated to the latest Mir release (2.12.1 ):
snap
version
notes
ubuntu-frame
98-mir2.12.1
To test, just switch to the candidate
channel. For example:
snap refresh --candidate ubuntu-frame
And use as normal. Please let us know any results here.
You could also switch to the 20
track, which will remain base: core20
for long-term support:
snap refresh --channel 20/candidate ubuntu-frame
If no problems are identified we aim to promote to stable
in a week.

Worked excellent, no problems at all.

Tested frame with wpe-webkit-mir-kiosk and everything worked as expected.

There’s a problem with OSK placement: it appears at the top of the output. And a fix:

We have tested our old snap and new snaps after the fix with candidate 98-mir2.12.1 /beta 98-mir2.13.0/edge 98-mir2.13.0+dev16 version and it seems to work ok with no issues connecting video.
