To test, just switch to the candidate channel. For example:

snap refresh --candidate mesa-core22
snap refresh --channel 24/candidate ubuntu-frame-osk
snap refresh --channel 24/candidate ubuntu-frame-vnc

And use as normal. Please let us know any results here.


To test the new Nvidia support on Ubuntu Core 24, you’ll need to use a custom kernel build and components:

snap refresh --candidate mesa-2404
snap refresh pc-kernel --channel 24/edge/nvidia-components
snap install pc-kernel+nvidia-550-ko pc-kernel+nvidia-550-user
snap connect mesa-2404:kernel-gpu-2404 pc-kernel

If no problems are identified we aim to promote to stable in a week.
