Hi folks, Today the Ubuntu 20.10 Beta is now available for testing that means were just 3 weeks away from the Final release.

Note: This is Beta software and there will be bugs so do not run this on any production/daily driver machines of yours. If you have any spare hardware you could install this on would be best.

OEM installation is completely broken:

  • https://pad.lv/1900319 - The “Prepare for shipping to end user” icon is not shown on desktop on legacy install (at least Ubuntu, UbuntuKylin and Kubuntu are affected)
  • https://pad.lv/1900304 - The “Prepare for shipping to end user” icon is not shown on desktop on EFI installs (at least Ubuntu, Kubuntu, MATE, UbuntuKylin and Xubuntu are affected)
  • https://pad.lv/1900307 - oem-config package is not installed for legacy systems (at least MATE and Budgie are affected)
  • https://pad.lv/1900332 - oem-config package is not installed for EFI systems (at least Budgie is affected)

Thanks for reporting this. I commented on your bug report. They are all the same issue and should be fixed with a rebuild of the images.
