Bug Reporting and fix priority

Hello,

I have raised a bug in 22.10 which has been obvious to me and many others within minutes of the upgrade. I didn’t necessarily expect to see it being fixed in that release as it’s not a “security” issue but thought that it would for sure get patched up in the next release since it’s so obvious.

Fast forward to the new release and the bug is still there. Could you explain how we go about setting bug fix priorities?

I would have thought security first, followed by obvious “day 1” bug like this one but it doesn’t appear to be the case. Are the resources focused on Server/IOT applications and since this impact Desktop Ubuntu, it has a lower priority? Also, are there bugs which are not worth reporting as they will not get considered based on internal criteria?
