Try redoing whatever command you did and prefixing it with LANG=C for something not in French, e.g. LANG=C inxi. I’m not suggesting that command, per se, though.

I’m not sure why the release schedule for Noble wasn’t updated for it, but it’s delayed until the 20th. The HWE kernel was missing in most images. That shouldn’t affect vanilla Ubuntu (as far as I know), though, if that is what you’re using. You can download daily images, but I can’t guarantee they will be in a "beta’ state. Still, for testing purposes, it might be good. Go to the testing tracker for Plucky, click on the flavor version you want, and then click on the “Link to download instructions.” That would be here for vanilla Ubuntu amd64.
