Best way to Wipe Drives

Howdy all! I’m looking for the best way to wipe a very large number of drives. After extensive research, the best option I appear to have is booting Ubuntu from a USB Drive and running a utility called nwipe. (Although, I’m open to suggestions. DBAN is not a good option as it doesn’t have good support for the disk controller cards I’m needing to use). I believe I can use nwipe --autonuke to accomplish my task, though I’m looking for an option to keep it from nuking the USB drive its running from (DBAN does this with the DBANLOG dir.) I’d rather not use a CD-ROM as that is much slower then a USB Drive and not upgradeable. I’m open to other options if anyone knows of a good one… Thanks!
