With Mozilla’s Location services no longer available generally or outside of Firefox and Firebird. Is it possible to back port the BeaconDB software and/or settings from Ubuntu 25.04 to Ubuntu 24.04 please, so that it’s present in one of the point releases of this LTS?
Without the location services of both Gnome and KDE at the very least, aren’t functional on the current LTS.
This is made visible by the feature which makes the colours warmer during night and cooler during the day. You can configure the feature to auto switch on and off based on sunrise and sunset. This setting doesn’t work due to the Mozilla Location Services issue, so thus needs BeaconDB back port.
On top of this the auto timezone feature doesn’t work due to Mozilla Location Services.
