Asus-isa-0000 temp1 is +6280.4c & cpu fan is 2700 rpm. FIX?

ASUS laptop, 24.04 Mint cinnamon, Intel® Pentium(R) CPU N3540 @ 2.16GHz × 4 , Intel® Bay Trail, 64-bit, 8gb ram, 1GB storage

I’ve had this fan running at high speed for … years using 18.04 lts. It is not 6280 db, but it is annoying and probably not great for my fan. Did screw up the fan settings?

I recently thought that using a new fresh Ubuntu version would fix the issue. I backed up all my data and reinstalled Cinnamon wiping all.

I think at one time I played in the terminal and might have screwed up entering the numbers or I did not put a space or did not take out one of the numbers: 62 and 80. I remember it took me weeks to find a solution and that solution made it worse.

Is there an easy solution? No, use ear plugs for life!

I would be so grateful if someone had a solution.

PS: I know very little about the terminal commands, but I can copy and paste well.

Please note that we can not support Linux Mint here, you will have to seek support for it in some mint forum
