I hope this is the correct place for posting this. I did not find a solution, this is a workaround.
Problem:
When you extract an archive in Ubuntu 18.04.5, it only extracts an empty folder.
Workaround:
Open the archive and use the extract button. Select the folders and use the “extract selected folders” option on the bottom. I have not tried with “extract all folders”, it might work.
