Animation Setting is Not Persistent

In Ubuntu 24.04,

Settings > Accessibility > Seeing > Reduce Animation

If switched ON, resets to OFF on logout, restart, or power off.

Any confirmaton?

I cannot confirm your observation
Using Ubuntu 24.04 on bare metal

  • Reduce Animation on > Power off and Power on > Reduce Animation remains on
  • Reduce Animation on > Log out and Log in > Reduce Animation remains on

I found it is caused by a Gnome Shell Extension named “Just Perfection”.
Removing it solved the persistence problem.
