I have this problem which I hope you can help me to solve as if not I have to use the laggy Windows 10 which I don’t like at all.
I need to extend my screen to an external monitor (HP Compaq LED1711) but when that screen starts showing image I lose the image on the notebook’s screen (HP Pavilion m6-1076la). My Xubuntu is 24.04.2 LTS, the problem also occurs with Kali. On Xubuntu I tried this (and some other things I don’t remember now):
downloaded from: https://repo.radeon.com/amdgpu-install/latest/ubuntu/noble/amdgpu-install_6.3.60302-1_all.deb
dpkg -i amdgpu-install_6.3.60302-1_all.deb
./amdgpu-install
as it didn’t work, following some AI suggestions then I uninstalled it.
