Put in the effort to make the UbuCon Asia bigger and better with each edition since I have recently joined the global organizing team.
I’ve known Aditya for a couple of years and I find him to be a friendly person and passionate about open source. He’s actively pioneering and introducing open source to the younger generation and universities in Nepal. He’s also organized major community events in Asia, such as GNOME Asia Summit 2023 and UbuCon Asia 2025.
As part of Asia’s Ubuntu Community members, I am fully opt in Aaditya application.
His contribution on building community within Nepal has proof his value not just successfully organised recent UbuCon Asia '25, but also resurrect the Nepal’s LoCo in same time after years of dormant.
I first met him at UbuCon Asia in 2024.
He told me that he wanted to host UbuCon Asia in Nepal, and he did it!
He has been very active in organizing UbuCon Asia 2025, and our collaboration has been going very well.
He has played a key role in developing the Nepal LoCo, and I believe he will continue to contribute greatly to the Ubuntu community.
It is indeed very good to see Aaditya applying for the membership! Well, I think i can vouch him for sure.
As a LoCo Council member, I see he not just revived the Nepalese LoCo through our handover process. But he is also organizing local gathering continuously. I would say Nepalese LoCo’s case would be one of the best practices when people ask about how to start their LoCo(or Circle) in their region or revive the inactive one if needed.
As part of UbuCon Asia Committee, I would also like to say the local team led by Aaditya was the most proactive, responsive, capable and collaborative so far. If future local team would like to know how they should collaborate with the global team, then I would probably say to have a look at what Nepalese folks did. And it was all possible thanks to Aaditya’s great leadership on leading the local team.
He already joined the UbuCon Asia Committee recently, And Now I’m also very looking forward to him on what’s next as a Ubuntu Member
I agree with the others.
I first met Aditya at UbuCon Asia 2024, and he was very passionate about the Ubuntu community.
What I liked most is that he didn’t just talk — he took real action.
He helped reboot the Ubuntu Nepal LoCo and worked hard to make UbuCon Asia 2025 happen.
I strongly support his Ubuntu membership application.
I interacted with @younggunner14 for a few months during the preparation of UbuCon Asia 2025, and I was impressed with his dedication and kindness with us, despite my barrage of questions
He managed to coordinate with us a fantastic UbuCon, and I am extremely grateful for his support. During the event, he opened up future opportunities with local universities, companies and other interested parties. He turned an event into an amazing Ubuntu experience for everyone involved.
I hope to see future events in Nepal, and I support @younggunner14 in his application for Ubuntu Membership!
I strongly support Aaditya’s application without a doubt. From his extreme passion for Open Source communities to his excitement and energy, which make everyone around him full of energy as well.
I have no doubts that he will utilise the membership to the fullest in pushing the community efforts forward and bringing in new contributors.
