I’m not real sure where to put this thread, but I have been just beating the bush to find why Ubuntu or any Buntu flavour on ZFS root fails after some updates.
So I have a few trusted Developers I listen to for credible information and they have suggested that because “my” Xubntu 25.04 and earlier reside on USB powered port on my Laptop (NOTE no Dock station is used here) is a possible reason.
Now I just don’t buy this, when it fails it loses all boot entries for Xubuntu.
There is no proof bpool
even exsisted.

From a Good bpool
If possible I would be grateful to hear from some our Developers on this.
My other ZFS non-ubuntu systems are reliable and trustworthy.
This is not a flame on Ubuntu, but I really need to get to bottom of this.
