Wi-fi confusion

I am running with ubuntu 24.04.2 When I goto wifi settings I have a list of wifi’s. I log into one, it gets connected, everything is fine. Most of the others have nothing to do with me as far as I know. I have clicked on them got the round thing, go there, tell them to get rid of it and then press something to validate that. I goes away, for about 30 seconds and the re-appears.

Thoughts?

To me this sounds like you’re viewing the list of available wifi networks. This is not the list of known wifi networks. As far as I know you can’t remove items form the list of available wifi networks.

Thank you for the reply…

You are right, that is, exactly, what I am whining about. If, for instance, you can get one to come up with the machine circle thing (forget its name) and click on it you have an opportunity to say to get rid of it. I was just tired of seeing stuff I am not interested in. That’s it, it really makes no difference but it would be nice to only show those that I can use (there are 3 or 4 that work, I use the one that I use throughout my home).

Since I am tired of whining about seeing something I have no interest on, and seems that’s just the way it is I will mark this as a solution.

don’t they ask for a password?

Yep - have no problem with those.
