Where are the Ubuntu 26.10 amd64 ISO images?

Please do not say: cdimage.ubuntu.com. They are not there. 26.10 ISO images for the arm64 architecture are there. 26.10 amd64 mini ISO images are there in their own folder. But not the full ISO image for 26.10 for amd64 .

Location of 26.10 amd64 mini ISO images

Is this the way forward for now on? It certainly reduces the download size. It also separates the development of the desktop from the ISO image.

FWIW, the mini.iso is useless without the actual big ISO’s it downloads. You can run the mini.iso and see what happens when it tries to download the respective installer image; I bet it will fail, unless those images are simply made non-discoverable by some web server hackery.

It doesn’t in the slightest, on the contrary even, IIUC, see my linked post.

Your title says AMD
So I use Kubuntu and it is here.
https://cdimage.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/daily-live/pending/

I rename 26.04 and zsync to not download a lot of data & it verifies download.
I copy path of zsync file, remove s in http & add zsync at beginning.

fred@z170-noble-a:~$ cd ISO
fred@z170-noble-a:~/ISO$ zsync http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/daily-live/pending/stonking-desktop-amd64.iso.zsync
#################### 100.0% 1312.1 kBps DONE
reading seed file stonking-desktop-amd64.iso: **** etc
Read stonking-desktop-amd64.iso. Target 87.8% complete. *****************************************************
downloading from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/daily-live/pending/stonking-desktop-amd64.iso:
#################### 100.0% 4644.3 kBps DONE

verifying download…checksum matches OK

ooh. Now you are challenging me to actually download the mini ISO image and install it. /wink.

I might just do that. Allow me a few days. Things might actually be different with 26.10 desktop mini ISO image.

The web page says this.

The mini ISO image is a small ISO image that can be used to choose which other Ubuntu image to download and install.

Then again, I could be very disappointed.

I tried that method for re-directing zsync from ubuntu resolute-desktop-amd64,iso.zsync to stonking-desktop-amd64.iso.zsync

It could not find an ISO image to download. Normally, if I mess up the zsync command the utility will start to download the full ISO image instead of comparing the differences between the old ISO image and the new ISO image. It did not do that.

That is what started me off on this quest.

Well. That did not take long. I downloaded the stonking-mini-iso-amd64.iso. I then wrote it to a USB memory stick and booted from it.

It offered me Ubuntu images to install. Server images and Desktop images but none for Ubuntu 26.10 desktop.

I had to Ctrl+Alt+delete to get out. Some people have delusions of grandeur. I think I have got delusions of inadequacy. Stonking disappointment.

How about Index of /daily-live

Ah, I see what you mean - all the descriptions are ARM
I need to stop skim reading

@graymech Hi!
There is a building problem currently for amd64.

The reason could be this change:

I think we need to wait for a few more days, as there is the Ubuntu Summit ongoing today (the second day), and I expect things will be fixed in a few days after that. Someone will be less busy and will fix it.

In the Ubuntu Dangerous live system I see 2 entries each day: ubuntu-dangerous : Live filesystems : “Ubuntu CD Image Team” team how do they differ?

Hi!
I asked about amd64 and got successfully built iso today.
Everyone is welcome to try it.

It is installable into Hyper-V.
