What's the size limit for avatars here?

I keep trying to make myself an avatar for this place, and it keeps not showing. I think the problem might be that my avatar attempts are too large, but there’s apparently no information here on how large our avatars are allowed to be, so I don’t know how much I have to shrink it.

Or could the problem be something else entirely?

I guess your image is already in place (see your first post) but doesn’t show up everywhere yet (including your profile).

The official recommended size for a profile picture avatar is at least 240 x 240 pixels in a square aspect ratio (1:1)
