Hello.
Thanks for reading my topic.
Here is Lubuntu 24.04.1.
Have weird bugs happening here. Randomly an blank screen for several seconds and then LXQT taskbar is reloaded with high disk activity doing an screen only having taskbar and blank screen not being possible access to start menu or load any program and LXQT network crashing the taskbar.
What is the correct area to post both bugs for Lubuntu coders read about it ?
Have an nice week.
Follow the Lubuntu docs

Software inevitably has bugs. Sometimes despite the most rigorous testing, bugs still get through. Luckily, bug reporting is an easy way to alert developers to the need to solve an issue. Additionally, it’s easier to analyze and troubleshoot bugs in a central repository than it is on a mailing list or chat.
How to report bugs
- Get a Launchpad account, as all bugs are tracked there.¹
- For the bug reporting tools to automatically collect important data, install apport and make sure it’s enabled.²
- To create the bug report, open the terminal and run:
ubuntu-bugname_of_the_affected_package (see below for a list of packages).³- Subscribe the Lubuntu Packages Team (~lubuntu-packaging) to the bug report.
- Read the documentation below for advice to write an effective bug report.
etc. details in provided link.
Thanks for your reply.
I see you’re still very active in the Lubuntu community.
Have a good week =)
@guiverc
I have been reading the instructions, but when running ubuntu-bug not have alternative for the type of problem I want say.
For example I want comment about some problems about Lubuntu features and not exactly because happen an crash or otherthing.
I want post for Lubuntu devs read it.
I not see it in the links above.
What is the better path to do it ?
I’d probably file the bug against lubuntu-desktop which is a meta package which contains all our software packages.
If its a choice of Lubuntu settings; you could also file against lubuntu-default-settings
Of course; the link I provided you earlier says
NOTE: When in doubt about what package to file the bug against, please use lubuntu-meta.
so filing against that would be a perfect choice for all Lubuntu team members to see it.
I reported my bug. thanks to guiverc for the link. here is what i told them. I wonder if my situation is a bug or something that i could fix. here is what i told them…
I’ve newly installed Lubuntu 24.04 LTS on an older Fusion5 tablet that had windows 10 on it. i cannot access the internet. I always access the internet from public wifi because i don’t have any internet service where i live. I was at the grocery store Smith’s yesterday where i usually can access the internet and sit a while. Lubuntu could see many wifi signals there but not the Smith Guests signal which i usually use. So today i came to a genealogy library where i can access a wifi signal here but now its not showing any signals at all. Usually at this genealogy library there are several wifi signals visible from my phone. anyway, maybe this is a bug you would like to know about? I’m not sure if this will work on the Fusion5 if i can’t get internet working. Please let me know if you have a solution.
