Vote I did. Lots of choice for this release. Thank you to all participating artists for their work, and let’s see what we get in the final ISO!

I really liked many of the submitted wallpapers — there are some truly beautiful and creative designs here.

As someone with a visual impairment, darker wallpapers are usually more comfortable for my eyes and easier for me to appreciate. Because of that, I chose to vote for the dark-themed images that stood out to me the most.

Thank you to everyone who contributed — it’s great to see such talent in the community!

There are some really beautiful wallpapers. I’m looking forward to seeing the winners and the main wallpaper too!

Lots of beautiful art! Hard to pick favorites!

’Vor’ and ‘Kýma‘ are very well done but look for me too much inspired by those standard wallpapers from my least favorite OS:

I voted, but I was disappointed that the voting ballot did not show both of the moskalenko-v “Snowy Hills” versions as their own separate choosable item, since I preferred the darker one.

I read the competition topic again, well, Only this is not in vote. I think it can be voted, but it didn’t show its listence and category, name. That’s a pity.

And my Ubuntu With Frutiger Metro has winned the Competition last year. So it can’t be voted here. This method can avoid the same wallpapers which winned Competition before.

This Screenshot used machine translation in web browser. I forgot to turn off it

I am so sorry that I have not draw a black-white high Contrast Wallpaper for the competition. And my only wallpaper’s Contrast is low. I had thought to draw a black-white high Contrast Wallpaper, but I am busy in making a game. I will draw this wallpaper next Ubuntu Version.

Hey @ericmarceau, GNOME supports light/dark variants so if that entry wins, both will be included in the final release.

@cnusr25 the image with the raccoon and bike was confirmed to be AI generated by it’s poster and shared to serve as inspiration for artists.

It’s just that the geometric shapes in the “light” versions don’t really stand out to be noticed on the voting ballot, AND there is no indication of a complementary image being available, unlike the case for

  • ahmedjunaedn - Resolute Veil, and
  • endycal - Flying Boxes

:frowning:

Liked a lot the new mascot and how the artists represented

With so many amazing entries, it would be a neat idea to have a hub from where the user can browse and download more wallpapers from the community. Perhaps an entry in the App Center, kind of like how the Microsoft Store has a category just for themes?

This is a great idea! Let me see if that’s something that we can put together.
