I’m new here, and only involved with Linux a few years. I have a Lenovo Yoga 920 with Ubuntu 24.04.3 installed, gnome desktop. Without a 2nd monitor i can use Sublime text or VS Code “save as” and video is fine at highest resolution. I recently purchased a 15.5” Viewsonic portable monitor which I attach via USB-C. It has the same resolution specs. When I attach the 2nd monitor (has same resolution as the laptop) the “save as” seems to corrupt the save window. If I click to the right of the window it returns correctly (clicking only to the right works). Weird issue. Disconnect the monitor and everything is fine. I can use the work around but is there a way to correct this? I could try utilizing the hdmi connection on the portable monitor , have not tried that yet.
