I have 2 Raspberry Pi 3B+ boards running under Ubuntu, each attached to a CAN controller hat via 40-pin interface communicating with the Pi board via SPI. I set up the appropriate CAN connectors between the two configurations. I installed the can-utils package on both Raspberry Pi’s with no problems.
However when I set up a test communication run, with one configuration running candump (receiver) and another cansend (transmitter), nothing happened. I contacted the maker of the board. But, they are not very knowledgeable on Ubuntu.
Any suggestions on what may have happened is welcomed.
