Upgrade to 24.04 - restore from Backup

This isn’t strictly a ubuntu problem but I need help moving from 22.04 to 24.04. I used the ‘new interface’ in 24.04 and thought I selected ‘Something Else’ and formatted / but not /home. Unfortunately this did not work and I have to recover from my Backup. I’ve used rdiff-backup successfully for some years, although far from an ‘expert’. This what I’m getting:

sudo rdiff-backup --restore-as-of now /media/dad/backup/rdiffbackup/ /media/dad/backup/restore
[sudo] password for dad:
WARNING: this command line interface is deprecated and will disappear, start using the new one as described with '--new --help'.
WARNING: Server will be called with deprecated command line interface to guarantee compatibility. It might lead to a deprecation warning from newer rdiff-backup versions. Use '--api-version 201' (or higher) to avoid it.

Any advice appreciated as I’m somewhat stuck!

Apologies - that command works OK. My problem was that I was not waiting long enough for rdiff-backup to extract everything. Problem solved.
