Updating docking station firmware

I get a popup saying there’s an update available for my docking station. When I click on the pop up, nothing happens though.

Maybe a reboot is required for the update to take effect ?

  1. Install/Update fwupd: sudo apt install fwupd
  2. Refresh Metadata: sudo fwupdmgr refresh
  3. Check for Updates: sudo fwupdmgr get-updates
  4. Apply Updates: sudo fwupdmgr update
