hi, I apologize for this post, but I couldn’t find a way to post a new topic.
please, someone tell me where the new topic button is located, with a screenshot of the button.
I’ve been going around in circles, trying to find it.
I’ve read the rules, and got the notification msg, click on the link , but still can’t locate a ‘new topic’ button.

It can sometimes be confusing but we are here to help.
If you go to the Support and Help category, for example, the New Topic button is positioned at the top right.
If you are not seeing this button, let us know.
ok, so I am not crazy or daft.
been banging my head against the wall because of this frustration.
that button is nowhere to be found on my screen, when I go to that page.
please tell me what I need to do to resolve this.
Clear cookies for the site, log out and in again.
Does that make a difference?

I found the delete cookies, and did that.
still don’t see the new topic button after logging out/in.
gonna try rebooting my computer and see if it does anything.
Fair enough.
If rebooting, logging out and in again to the site still does not work I will ping a site admin to look into the matter.

I’ve rebooted , logged out/in , still no joy.
I have never had this much trouble just trying start a topic before,

I am going to ask a stupid question. Are you logged in to Ubuntu Discourse?
We can browse Ubuntu Discourse without being logged in. I often do that and only log in when I want to reply to a topic.
It is only when I log in that I see that Start a New Topic button.
