Unable to install Ubuntu Studio 25.10

I have downloaded Ubuntu Studio 25.10. When writing the image to USB using Balena Etcher, no messages come up.

When using Rufus, it tells me that this is a Hybrid ISO, and DD mode will be enforced. I have no choice.

When I boot from the USB and go into the installation, This message pops up:
Something Went Wrong, We’re sorry, but we’re not sure what the error is. You can try restarting your computer and start the installation process over again. You can also report the issue.

To send an automated bug report including relevant deb ug information, please run sudo ubuntu-bug ubuntu-desktop-bootstrap

In a terminal, or from the command console (Alt+F2).

I DO NOT get these messages, when writing the ISO file to USB with Kubuntu 25.10, or Ubuntu Studio 24.04 LTS. After writing these two to USB, I can install either of them just fine. I did direct download through Edge for all downloads.

I am going to try torrenting it and see what happens.

This only happens with Ubuntu Studio 25.10. Anyone else have these problems? I have downloaded the ISO file multiple times. 3-4 times now. I have fiber internet which is rock solid.

A couple of things to check that might help:

So I used Ventoy, and that worked allot better. I still got the second error, but was able to by pass it somehow, and everything worked allot better.

As far as I know, everything works just fine. Thanks for the help.

From my experiences Balena Etcher is a terrible application for writing isos to flash drives. I remember it “bricked” one of my USB drives until I figured out how to wipe it and re set up a filesystem on it.

If you are already using linux, I would just use dd for configuring boot USBs. Just set if to the iso file, of the the USB’s device assignment (i.e., /dev/sdb), and set the blocksize bs to 4M.

I used this as my laptop didn’t upgrade cleanly so I needed to reinstall Ubuntu 25.10.
